Why I Don’t Teach Pilates Like a Gym — and Why That Matters

This isn’t a gym. It’s a reset.

Let’s be real: I don’t teach Pilates like a gym.

And that’s the whole point.


This studio? It’s not built on loud playlists, high reps, or matching leggings.

It’s built on intention, connection, and the radical idea that your body deserves more than just another cookie-cutter fitness program.


Because when you’re in survival mode — physically, emotionally, hormonally — the last thing you need is more pressure.


I don’t teach to the crowd. I teach to you.

To how you show up.

To what you’re holding — physically, emotionally, energetically.

To the things quietly asking for attention under the surface.


That’s why I start everyone with an intro pack.

That’s why I don’t lock you into year-long contracts.

That’s why most people know by session two or three if this is their place — and we both get a chance to decide if it’s a fit.


If it’s not? That’s okay.

But if it is — we build something powerful together.



I don’t teach to be liked. I teach to be real.


I used to be a people pleaser. I thought being liked meant being successful.

But the truth? It just burned me out.


Now, I choose alignment over approval.

I choose energy that supports me — and that’s the energy I bring into every session.


When I’m grounded and clear, I can give you everything I’ve got.

And when we click? That’s where the real magic happens.



Pilates isn’t punishment. It’s nervous system rehab.


You’re not here to perform. You’re here to breathe.

To feel stronger — in your core and in your choices.


This isn’t a workout to earn your lunch. It’s a reset to help you feel like yourself again.



I created this space for those in transition.


If you’re juggling stress, perimenopause, decision fatigue, caregiving, or just living in a constant state of “what the hell am I even doing?” — you’re not broken. You’re human.

You don’t need to push harder.

You need to reset.


This isn’t about fixing your posture — though we’ll do that, too.

It’s about helping you come back home to your body.


My sessions are built around breath, nervous system care, and moving with intention.

It’s not about getting more “fit” or “perfect.”

It’s about feeling more you.
